These terms cover BLUFF — the game at webluff.com and the BLUFF mobile apps. Playing means you accept them. If you do not, do not play.
A free word game. The daily is free forever and needs no stake. Stars can be bought, but they are a score — they are your stake and they buy your table’s looks, they cannot be cashed out, sold or transferred, and nothing you buy changes a hand, a rating, or a place on the daily board. No money passes back in the other direction between you and us.
Stars are an in-game score. They buy cosmetic looks and nothing else. Stars cannot be exchanged for money, cannot be bought with money, cannot be transferred between players, and cannot improve a placing on any board. They have no value outside the game, and we may adjust star balances to correct a bug or reverse abuse. Power-ups work the same way: earned in play, never sold.
Everyone gets the same six hands each day and one run per device to play them, with the first run being the one that stands. How the day is dealt, scored and ranked is set out in the house rules, which form part of these terms.
Play as yourself, by hand. Do not automate play with scripts, bots or solvers, do not decompile the app, do not tamper with the daily deal or with what your device sends to the board, and do not interfere with other players. Any of these voids the run and may end your access. Handles are public, so keep yours clean — we may remove one that impersonates someone, advertises, or is abusive.
The game is provided as-is and as available. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of it: hands, scoring, looks and whole features may come and go, and a compromised day's standings may be voided. Since you pay us nothing, there is nothing to refund when that happens.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising out of BLUFF or out of your inability to play it. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, in which case they do not apply to you.
You choose a handle and an avatar. Keep them clean. You grant us permission to display your handle, avatar, rating and record on public boards inside the game — that is the point of a leaderboard.
You can stop at any time; Reset career erases your record. We may suspend or end access if you break these terms, with notice where it is practical to give it.
These terms are governed by the laws of [STATE / COUNTRY — fill in], without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing anything, write to support@webluff.com; most things are a misunderstanding and get fixed in a day.
If you got the app from the App Store or Google Play, your agreement is with us and not with them. They are not responsible for the app, its content, or any claim about it, and they have no obligation to provide support. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
These terms, and any dispute arising out of them or out of BLUFF, are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The state and federal courts located in Delaware have exclusive jurisdiction, and you and we each consent to that.
If you live somewhere whose consumer law gives you rights that cannot be waived by an agreement like this one, those rights still apply to you and nothing here removes them.
